1. When is the best time to have a scan?
The best time to have a wellbeing bonding scan is usually between 24-30 weeks. This is the time when baby's features have developed and they still have enough room. If you come for a wellbeing bonding scan and you are over 30 weeks you will not be eligible for a free rescan should we not be able to obtain images.
We offer early reassurance scans from 7 weeks. Gender identification can be done from 15 weeks.
2. How many people can I bring with me?
We usually say you plus 4 guests. It is a very personal experience and we suggest you do not bring too many people with you who can detract away from your precious bonding time. However if you would like to bring more please let us know and we will try to accommodate.
3. How long will my appointment last?
Appointments usually last approximately 30 minutes. Although if baby is in a bad position it can be a lot longer than this. The ultrasound scan will usually last approximately 10-12 minutes if baby is in a good position and then there will be time to choose images should you wish to take images with you.
4.How can I prepare for my scan?
Drink plenty of water prior to your scan. It is suggested you have something to eat beforehand.
5. What can affect my scan?
There are several elements which can impact upon the quality of the resolution of the scan, these include BMI, position of placenta and position of baby. Unfortunately these elements are outside of the control of Ladybird 4D Baby Scans.
6. Are children allowed?
Yes children are welcome
